Our wee ghosties went trick or treating and my dad came to witness the grand event. Griff wore a cowboy costume that Dan wore at about the same age. Reese was the tawny scrawny lion post-carrot soup (sleek and fat as butter). Surprisingly, neither kid objected to a hat. We visited about 9 homes and a cul-de-sac where a bunch of neighbors congregate every year. Griff was very goal-oriented this year and instructed us where to go. He also served as the chief greeter at our home and doled out the treats to our visitors. Reese was a good sport and went along for the ride. He has no clue what the whole thing is about but is happy to investigate anything that resembles a lit candle and will also gladly sample Smarties.
I've nearly given up on ever getting a nice seated, face-forward, pleasant-expression photo of the two of them together (even one alone is frustratingly difficult), but thanks to the magic of digital cameras and having more than 24 exposures of film I was able to take 70ish pics and come up with a few decent shots:
