Reese and I read one of our family favorites, Pancakes for Breakfast, for naptime today. While looking at the frontispiece, he asked, "What's that?" and then commented, "too dark."
Some of the pancakes in the stacks are a dark brown. The other pancakes are a nice, medium brown. Clearly those dark ones are the overcooked pancakes from the first batch off the griddle.
Definitely his mama's boy. I don't like the dark ones, either. Let's hope he doesn't inherit my love of artificial syrup, too.
