How did I grow up without ever playing this classic game? My Grandma Medon and Aunt Barbara sent this in a Christmas/Birthday package for Griff (for which I need to send a thank-you note...note to self...). The game was a HUGE hit with all of us. Five-year-olds are awesome companions for playing games!
Reese is starting to become more insistent about wardrobe choices, resulting in ensembles like this one. The shirt is the top of a pair of polar bear long john pajamas. The pants are the bottom of a pair of Halloween bats pajamas. Both sets were originally Griff's and came from exchange packages with Happy Haven friends, with whom I shared the photo.
Shot at home of Xander, and a couple of shots of Griff in Dan's office. Griff's school is out for winter break but Reese went to the sitter this morning, giving me some unusual quasi-alone time with Griff. He says he's going to share an office with Daddy when he grows up, and he's also never going to move out of our house.
Kyle and Johannah visited with Brody to meet the newest member of the clan and to hang out for a while. We were originally planning to decorate the tree, but I had underestimated how difficult it would be to supervise a five-year-old and a two-and-a-half-year-old unpacking ornaments pell-mell and trying to hang them any old place. I'm a little too particular about where things get hung at the moment. We'll try again tomorrow. Enjoyed pizza with K, J, and B, though!
Got the tree today. Went to Tom Leonard's and picked the first one we saw - they're all squished, you can't tell what they'll really look like aside from the shape of the top. Not nearly as satisfying as cutting our own or getting a tree with a root ball to plant later, but this is what we're up for this year.
Below: me looking more tired than I thought I looked. Xander with a bigger head than I thought he had. That hat came from a trip my aunt and uncle made to Peru. It's adorable but I think the Peruvians must have teeny babies.
