Things I'm enjoying, or finding inspiring, or just drooling over...
I haven't looked at Soulemama in a long while but saw the "Pookie" shoes she posted a while ago (and which I'm now lusting after) today in Nordstrom, and it reminded me to check back in with her. I found links to the 17 things I made video, and its follow-up, The Beckoning of Lovely. Once again, Amanda Soule has connected me with things that inspire me.
She also reminded me that I've been meaning to hunt down some crayon rocks for Christmas stockings. Reese's classroom has some and they are truly inviting little things. That site also has these adorable monkey pencils made by Plan Toys. Griff would go nuts over them.
Every year we go to the Chesterfield Berry Farm pumpkin patch, and we're hoping to go tomorrow. the original plan was to go today, but alas, it was closed due to rain. I'm hoping that the forecast for tomorrow (71 and sunny) holds true and that there isn't too much mud.
My sister came down today despite the lack of pumpkinage, and she and I scored some green chucks for her Halloween costume - she's going to be a planeteer. Remember Captain Planet? Oh, come on, children of the '80s, you know you do, and you know you still remember the words to the closing song and sometimes find yourself singing them (or is it just me?). Anywho, Cait's going to be Linka, the Eastern European girl with the power of wind.
