I've been looking forward to putting up our family's advent calendar for weeks, and the big day is almost here! My husband's mother made it in the late '70s, I think, and in addition to being a fun vintage piece (felt and glitter and sequins, oh my!) and reminding him of his childhood, now it's a tradition in our family and something that ties my boys to their father and their grandparents.
Friends have been talking about their advent calendar plans and I love the idea of having a piece of paper each day with an activity on it. I wish I had more time to make something, like this gorgeous reusable fabric-link chain, to use in addition to our felt wall calendar, but with December starting tomorrow, I don't think it's happening this year! (Ok, maybe just paper links?)
If you have time to spare, or you're already looking for ideas for next year, or you just love seeing the creative things other people do, check these out:

I may need some December activity inspiration if I get around to making those links tonight; what do y'all have for me?
