::90:: roomies

Sharing space can be tough, unless your housemates are Maisy and The Knight (courtesy of Stace). Also supporting this end-of-March mix-up are Angie's dress (tossed on the floor by Maisy) and Tara's sun (peeking in the window). 

::89:: screening

Bored, not into it today. Played with textures of kitchen things before heading to bed. Can you guess what this is?

Yesterday's jellybean was a "sizzling cinnamon", which was correctly guessed on Facebook by Amy. I'll give credit to Kat for her guess here, although bellyphiles will appreciate the distinction between cinnamon and sizzling cinnamon. Excellent guesses (based on the speckles) included popcorn, pear, bubblegum, and lemon drop. To which I say yum (sorry Kat), EW YUCKY, meh, and delish. I also agree with Kat that there's something compelling about the watermelon ones. The cuteness of the tiny green rind and red center makes it fun to bite them in half, even though I don't have much love for their flavor.

We had a little trip to the candy store today, which reminded me of a question that came up during a discussion of Jelly Bellies recently. Somebody asked: if you could only eat one flavor, which one would it be? What's yours? Ian you guess mine? Hints: It's in the photo. My second favorite at the moment is pomegranite cosmo, which is very different from my first favorite flavor. And it's one of the fifty "official" flavors.

It's late and I'm snacky. I'm not telling Swiper that there is leftover Ukrops birthday cake on top of the fridge.

We have a playdate today! Tara from Sun A Day caught Swiper trying to steal the sun. I'm sure he was just trying to play with him! Tara, I love this! I think I might need to take some photoshop lessons from you, too.

We finally tried this place out for brunch, and it's an instant favorite. The only down side, as far as I'm concerned, is that the lights at the tables are BRIGHT, even with these shades. Holy Migraine, Batman! Swiper got in there to see what he could do. What a pal.

::85:: oh, what a night

Shot at the very, very end of a very, very long day.  Well, I lie. It was the end of the day in the sense that the calendar was three minutes from flipping, but I was still going to be out for almost two more hours. Woo. and Hoo. 

The really sad thing is that my friend had Swiper there for five minutes before I noticed him. It's bad when you don't constantly oogle your friend's cleavage any more. Where has the magic gone?

So, true story - most of my relatives are/were from Delaware, and this one time, my family was planning to go visit my grandparents, and this boy called me asking me out. He had been sending me letters and calling me and stuff, and I really wasn't into him, and I was trying to be truthful but not hurt his feelings and also not end up having to actually go out on a date with him...and what I ended up saying regarding his Saturday night invitation was, "I'm going to Delaware, and I don't know when I'm coming back."  Yes, really.  Worst. Rejection line. Ever.  

As for Delaware, I guess it has tax-free shopping going for it, right?

On a more serious note, I shared some thoughts today on Spark about my January trip to the Dominican Republic, regarding the challenges residents of Esfuerzo face that are related to water. Most of the world can't frolic in the garden hose like Swiper.
