I'm a day late and a co-conspirator short. In my defense, the photo was actually taken yesterday, and the reason it's late is because Griff and I were both too busy living our inspiration instead of documenting it. It was an amazing day, both typical of mild Virginia winters and atypical in that it was a rare balmy day following weeks of bitter cold. We allowed ourselves to just be, hanging out with friends after school and having a late family dinner. The kids made magic potions out of craft materials and the adults ate dinner standing around the kitchen island, joking and drinking wine. By the time we got home, the last thing I wanted to do was edit photos. So I didn't.
There are lots of things that inspire me - vintage cookie jars and toddlers sleeping, the smudge of feathers where a bird whacked the window, crumbs on the floor and even the crack in the ceiling that inspires more fear than anything else. Today, though, I'm going for simplicity and showing you our magic hat, filled with your words, from which Griff and I draw our inspiration each night for the next day.
Thanks for this word go to Lynz, who has often inspired me (and who should really get back to blogging, she has such cool ideas and experiences to share!). Love you!
