So, the back story on this word: Reese and Xander (4.5 y/o and 2 y/o, respectively) have gotten in on the family 365 project act and often insist on being the one(s) to select the day's word. The first time Xander pulled out a word, it was after one of his brothers had already selected a word for that day. The next time Xander pulled out a word, it was a middle-of-the-day hat raid, he just appeared with the unnecessary, redundant word. The same unnecessary, redundant word.
The word? Superfluous. I kid you not.
This morning he officially chose the word. Same word. But this time, unlike the other two, it wasn't superfluous. I mean it was literally, but not figuratively. Or something. So we went with it.
What seemed superfluous to us:
The LED light toy that Reese talked me into buying at the end of a day full of YES.
The crowds at the Kennedy Center, where Griff took in a performance of Peter and the Wolf.
